Intro 1524-2019

Members of Richman Law & Policy (RLP) have remained dedicated to the fight against pesticide use in City parks. Pesticides affect all New Yorkers and everyone should be made aware of the negative consequences of pesticide use.

That is why we partnered with Council Member Ben Kallos and Legislative Director Wilfredo Lopez on Intro. Bill 1524-2019 to ban the use of pesticides on City property. RLP supported The Black Institute’s “Poison Parks” report, hosted coalition meetings, and attended the hearing on Intro. Bill 1524-2019. The bill is currently laid over in committee with more updates to follow. You can download the report here.
