Sage Max

Sage Max is Operations Manager of the Animal Welfare Program at Richman Law & Policy, focussing exclusively on animal welfare lawsuits. Sage strives to create better policies and practices for the human and non-human animals involved in our food system.

Prior to joining RLP, Sage worked on farmed animal issues at various animal advocacy nonprofits, including the Humane Society of the U.S., Mercy For Animals, The Humane League, Jewish Veg, and World Animal Protection. She was involved in volunteer organizing, ballot measure campaigns, lobbying, and working directly with animal agriculture companies.

Sage graduated cum laude from Barnard College at Columbia University, where she received her B.A. in Environmental Policy. She spends her spare time snuggling her rescue cats and pigeons and eating delicious vegan food.
