Phoebe Gittelson

Associate and Environmental Protection Legal Fellow

Phoebe is an Associate and Environmental Protection Legal Fellow at Richman Law & Policy. She focuses on environmental litigation with an emphasis on rural justice issues.

Previously, Phoebe was an Assistant Attorney with NY's Department of Environmental Conservation in its Office of General Counsel, Remediation Bureau. Phoebe has worked with the Socially Responsible Agriculture Project to help rural communities fight against the expansion of factory farms, and was a legal intern at Food & Water Watch, The Environmental Protection Agency (Region 2), New York's Attorney General's Office (EPB), and New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.

Phoebe received her J.D. from CUNY School of Law, where she focused on environmental justice, and received her B.S in Communications and Art History from Boston University.

Previously, Phoebe worked in corporate communications at CBS Corporation. She is a visual poet and violinist, based in the Hudson Valley in New York.

Phoebe is admitted to practice in New York.
